Yamunanagar. A case of Poland work visa scam has come to light in Yamunanagar, where a young man was duped of Rs 3.50 lakh on the pretext of sending him abroad. The accused first promised a job in Poland, then shifted him to Singapore, and finally abandoned him in Malaysia. Based on the complaint, Jathlana police have registered a case against three accused and started investigation.
The victim, Mahfooz, a resident of Naharpur village, stated in his complaint that he is 10th pass and works as an electrician. He wanted to go abroad for better job opportunities. In 2024, he came in contact with real brothers Sagar and Harsh, along with their friend Akash, all residents of Narayangarh.
The accused told him that they run an office named Global Pass and assured him of sending him to Poland on a work visa.
Rs 3.50 lakh taken in name of Poland job
In this Poland work visa scam, the victim handed over his documents and paid Rs 1 lakh in cash on March 19, 2024.
Later, in October 2024, the accused provided him with an offer letter for Poland. However, they soon claimed that the job was no longer available and convinced him to go to Singapore instead.
On February 20, 2025, they took another Rs 2 lakh from him for the new process.
Sent abroad, then abandoned
According to the complaint in the Poland work visa scam, the victim was sent to Singapore on February 26, 2025 via Chandigarh, Jaipur, and Hyderabad.
Even after reaching there, the accused demanded more money and took Rs 50,000 online.
Later, on March 17, he was sent from Singapore to Malaysia. After that, the accused stopped answering his calls.
Left helpless in Malaysia, returned to India
Mahfooz alleged that he received no support in Malaysia and was left on his own. The local police advised him to return to India.
He managed to return to India on March 30, 2025, exposing the Poland work visa scam.
Cheques bounced, no refund
After returning, the victim demanded his money back. The accused gave him three cheques as assurance.
However:
- All three cheques bounced
- The accused kept delaying payment
- No money was returned

Based on the complaint, Jathlana police have registered a case against:
