Rajasthan Malaysia Job Fraud: Four unemployed youths from Rajasthan allegedly lost ₹28.90 lakh after a travel agency operator promised them well-paid jobs in Malaysia. The accused, identified as Heeralal Patel, allegedly assured the victims that he would arrange work permits and employment but sent them to Malaysia on visitor visas instead.

The fraud came to light when Malaysian authorities discovered that the hotel booking and return ticket documents presented by the youths were allegedly fake. All four were subsequently sent back to India.

In connection with the Rajasthan Malaysia Job Fraud case, Kotwali Police arrested the accused after receiving information that he had returned to Dungarpur. Police are now questioning him to establish how the alleged fraud was carried out and whether other people were also targeted.

How the Four Youths Met the Travel Agency Operator

According to the police, the case was registered following a complaint by Nikhil Patel, a resident of Ghadmala village.

Around a year ago, Nikhil visited the Collectorate with three friends — Shiva Rawal, Anil Patel and Deepak Vyas. During the visit, they noticed a crowd outside an office named DRG Associate Tour and Travellers, located near the Collectorate.

The four youths contacted the agency’s operator, Heeralal Patel, who allegedly promised them better employment opportunities and attractive salaries abroad.

The accused reportedly assured them that he could send them overseas and arrange good jobs. Trusting these promises, the four youths allegedly paid him a total of ₹28.90 lakh.

Promised Work Permits but Sent to Malaysia on Visitor Visas

The Rajasthan Malaysia Job Fraud allegedly involved a false promise of overseas employment and work permits.

The accused called the four youths to Ahmedabad Airport, where he allegedly handed them Malaysian visas, hotel booking documents and return tickets. The youths were then sent to Malaysia, believing that they would be able to start working after reaching the country.

However, the documents and visa arrangements allegedly did not match the employment promises made to them.

Fake Travel Documents Discovered at Malaysia Airport

The situation changed when the four youths arrived at Malaysia Airport.

During document verification, local authorities reportedly found that their hotel bookings and return tickets were fake. Following the discovery, Malaysian authorities stamped their passports and sent all four youths back to Ahmedabad.

The victims therefore returned to India without getting the jobs they had been promised.

After reaching India, they allegedly tried to contact Heeralal Patel to seek an explanation and recover their money. However, the accused reportedly switched off his mobile phone and went missing.

The victims subsequently approached the police, following which an investigation was initiated.

Police Arrest Travel Agency Operator in Dungarpur

According to Sub-Inspector Ramesh Chandra of Kotwali Police Station, the police began searching for the accused after receiving the complaint.

The investigation gained momentum when police received information that Heeralal Patel had returned to Dungarpur. A police team subsequently carried out an operation and arrested him.

During preliminary questioning, police found that the accused allegedly used to promise people guaranteed overseas employment and work visas. However, instead of arranging work visas, he allegedly sent people abroad on visitor visas or tourist passes.

The victims would then reportedly face problems at their destination airports because of allegedly fake travel documents and be forced to return to India.

Police are questioning the accused to gather further information about his alleged method of operation and identify whether other people may have been cheated in a similar manner.
