Women Duped For 24 Lacs By Fake USA Embassy People

Women Duped For Lacs:- Four foreign nationals of Zambia, Uganda, Namibia and Ghana were arrested for allegedly being fake officials of The USA Embassy. They were using emails and phone calls and duping people to give them jobs in The USA. They duped a woman of Rs 26 lakh by promising to get her job in The USA. They all were arrested from Pune on November 22 and a further investigation is on to nab more people, who may have played a role. Immigration Frauds

The Mumbai cyber police have found out that the accused have around two lakh email ids and 1.04 lakh mobile numbers to fraud with people. The accused bought these email ids and mobile numbers from a cyber criminal gang of cyber and the bank accounts linked with the SIM cards were also bought from another similar cyber criminal gang. To avoid being in any trouble, they used these numbers and bank accounts, Which are already registered in names of other persons who were actually not even aware that their personal information were being misused. Said Investigation Police Officer.

These email ids and phone numbers were used to send fraudulent emails and text messages like Job fraud, Lottery fraud and prize or gift fraud etc.The police has confiscated 13 mobile phones, 4 laptops and 3 routers used for the crime.

The complainant is a resident of Andheri, Mumbai. She is a works in a bank in Mumbai. This year, In April , she received an email seems sent by the US embassy; which promised her a job in The USA.
The complainant got convinced as the fraudsters used email ids were similar to the email ids used by The USA embassy. They took an online and telephonic interview. The process looked so smooth and genuine That She was convinced to believe that they were genuine.

Later She was given a job offer letter and they tricked her into paying Rs 26 lakh into their accounts. She got an doubt when they were kept on asking for more money and she realised that she has been cheated.

Among these four accused are two men and two are women. The men are identified as Greenwell Ndhlovu from Zambia and Tosin alias Kofi Onkor Don from Ghana. The two women are Dorcus Nakabuuka from Uganda and Secilia Nghinasheni from Namibia.

As per investigation officer, three of these have come here on student visas and remaining on a medical visa, However except from one women the visas of other accused have expired and they have been booked for the visa violation crime too.
