The UT Police Booked 4 People For Duping Three People For Rs 33.50
The UT Police booked 4 people for duping three people for Rs 33.50 lakh on the pretext of sending them abroad. As per Chandigarh Police, the accused were running their immigration firms at Sector 34, Chandigarh. They closed their office and run away. Immigration Frauds
The accused is identified as Mandeep Singh and Pawan, They are partner and were running their immigration firm in partnership. The other two accused are identified as Ravi Bhatia and Sanjay Bhatia of Gayatry Travels.
As per Police Investigation Team Police, Manjit Kumar and Ravi of Jind district were duped for Rs 15.50 lakh by the accused in 2020, while Anil Kumar of Mohali was duped for Rs 18 lakh in 2017.
Mandeep Singh and Pawan both partner had promised Manjit Kumar and Ravi to send them to Switzerland on work permit. The both victims gave the amount along with their passports and other documents to the accused. But later on neither they send them to abroad nor returned their money.
Finally victims lodged a police complaint. Anil Kumar of Mohali was told that he would be sent to Canada on a work visa. He also had paid Rs 18 lakh to Ravi Bhatia and Sanjay Bhatia.
As per SHO sector 34, Few years ago accused shifted their base from Sector 34 and During the preliminary investigation, they did not join the investigation. Efforts were being made to locate accused.
Sector 34 police have registered two FIR on the charges of cheating and under Section 420, Section 24 of Emigration Act, 1983.
