USA Visa, Punjab Resident Kidnapped In Bali And Demanded Rs 24 Lacs Ransom To Release

Punjab Resident Kidnapped, The SAS Nagar police has registered a case of kidnapping for ransom against unknown persons for demanding Rs 30 lakh to release a 22 years old boy. Immigration Frauds

The victim Ashutosh Rana’s family had sent their boy to USA illegally via Indonesia and Mexico. After Ashutosh arrived in Bali, his family started getting ransom calls.

Ashutosh informed the family on the phone that he and three other Punjabis one from Chamkaur Sahib, another from Patiala, and the third one from Mohali had been kidnapped and locked in a room. The suspects, beat the youths and ripped off their nails.

Ashutosh’s family deposited Rs 24 lakh in a private bank account based in Ludhiana. The same money was withdrawn in Jalandhar.

The suspects reportedly from Punjab region and resides in Indonesia. They kidnap and extort money by luring students with dreams of living in foreign shores. In their trap, They promise the youngsters and assure them that the payment will be taken once they reaches The USA.

As per investigation team, They have found that seven more persons have been duped in the same manner. The victim’s family members have approached SSP, Mohali, said Manjeet Rana, sarpanch, Behlolpur, an uncle of one of the victims.

As per investigation team, the role of a Kharar resident, Jalandhar based visa travel agents and some airport staff in Amritsar, is under the scanner.
