Police Recovered 15 Passports From Fake Travel Agent, The Noida police claimed to have busted a gang involved in duping people for facilitating their foreign travel document works. Immigration Frauds
In the investigation, The Noida police have seized 15 passports and four forged travel documents from the possession of the gang working as a travel agents.
The gang was running a company in the name of Om Consultancy, located in Sector 2, Noida, and they used social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram etc. to contact people wanting to go abroad.
This gang used to fraud people on pretext of facilitating their travel documents, they used editing softwares to forge visas and documents and charged victims around Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000 for the work.
Arrested accused have been identified by the police as Ashutosh Pandey, Praveen Kumar Gaur and Imran Khan, Two more of their partners have been identified and efforts are on to ensure their arrest soon, Investigation Officer Said.
The Phase-1, Noida police station had got a complaint about fraud in which a person, who wanted to go to the Middle East, alleged that he was duped of Rs 65,000 by the accused.
Investigation into the complaint led the police team to expose the racket being run by the gang and 15 passports which belonged to their victims were also recovered, the investigation officer said.
The FIR in this case has been lodged under IPC sections pertaining to cheating and forgery of documents, among others.
