536 Passport Recovered From Fake Travel Agent

Immigration Frauds, In a major action against unauthorised immigration fake  travel agent, The Commissionerate Of Police, Jalandhar on Wednesday exposed a gang involved in duping innocent persons on the pretext of sending them abroad on work permits. The police have seized around 536 passports besides Rs 49000 cash, a laptop and three computers from their possession. Immigration Frauds

The Commissioner of Police Gursharan Singh Sandhu has also disclosed that Special Operation Unit (SOU) of Commissionerate Police, Jalandhar had received a tip off regarding illegal practices being carried out by these unscrupulous elements. Following the information a police team led by ACP Ashok Kumar and SOU head Inspector Inderjeet Singh kept a close eye on these agencies namely VV overseas, Landmaze Overseas, Punjab To Abroad consultancy , World Wide Overseas and Visa City Consultancy. These all visa consultancies are based in Jalandhar and None of these agencies even have the appropriate license to run these offices.

The police as per the investigation raided VV overseas and arrested Amit, Nitin and Sahil and on their instances, police nabbed Tajinder Singh and recovered around 536 Indian passports, 49000 INR cash, laptop and computer sets.

The Commissioner of police Gursharan Singh Sandhu accompanied by DCP Jaskiranjit Singh Teja, while speaking with the media persons at CP office, Jalandhar revealed that Nitin had been facing 104 criminal cases in various police stations of Punjab. Eight cases have already registered against Tajinder, similarly Amit and Sahil have also been booked in four and three criminal cases. Most of the members of this gang is from Ludhiana, Those have opened multiple offices on different names and making people fool on the name of work permits of different countries.  

Mr Sandhu also advised people to verify online about agencies and their license before applying. It will save their money and time.
