2000 Fake Visas, Delhi Police Busted A Visa Scam:- Punjab based student and his five friends alleged they were cheated of Rs 18 lakh by the agents, who contacted one of them via social media platform.
The Delhi Police have exposed a fake visa racket by arresting three fake travel agents who had been cheating thousands of students and job aspirants on the pretext of sending them abroad.
According to the police investigation team, the accused were held with over 2,000 blank visa copies of different countries, around 165 forged visa stamps and more than 3,000 embassy envelopes, and around 127 dyes used to make visas and other fake documents. Immigration Frauds.
The matter came to light when a Punjab based student and five friends from an IELTS institute alleged that they were cheated of Rs 18 lakh by the agents who contacted one of them via social media. The agents promised to them Australia visas, which later they found them to be forged.
The accused travel agents Amit Gaur, Chandan Chaudhary, and Nitin Nazara were arrested after several raids were conducted in and nearby Delhi.
The DCP (IGI Airport) said, We found that these men were making fake visas and travelling documents and mainly targeting people from Punjab and Haryana. We have recovered around 1,150 blank plastic cards used to forge IDs. They also used to make fake visas and have been caught with visa stamps, embassy envelopes and other visa templates.
These men were operating their office from Tagore Graden’ Delhi where the forged documents and other equipment were seized. The further Investigation is under process and in coming days many more things may be exposed.
