Work Visa Fraud, Agent Charged with ₹6.40 Lakh Work Visa Fraud in an FIR Filed Against Him In yet another incident illustrating the rising problem of fraud with regards to work visas, local law enforcement has filed a first information report (FIR) against an agent who defrauded two individuals of ₹6.40 lakh under the pretense of providing employment in another country.

According to the detecting officer, this case emerged from a complaint lodged by Nitin (the son of Rakesh Kumar) from the village of Noorpur within the jurisdiction of Kotwali police station, wherein he alleges that a man named Kaif Malik (the owner of a café and resident of Maswasi, which falls under the Swar police station in the Rampur district in Uttar Pradesh) deceived both him and another victim through promises of employment abroad.

Nitin asserts that Kaif Malik informed him several months ago that he could facilitate the acquisition of work visas for both him and his compatriots for a fee of ₹3,20,000 each, that they would earn a monthly salary of ₹105,000, and that he needed to pay the processing fees in advance before they would be processed.

According to Nitin’s account to the police, he was accompanied at a meeting by Vijendra Pal Singh, Ravi Kumar, and Veerpal, where he decided to trust Kaif Malik, who had misrepresented himself. Therefore, he advanced him ₹70,000 and, in turn, Verpel sent Kaif Malik ₹1,50,000 to send on behalf of his brother. Leran More
