Why Canada Is Refusing Punjab And Haryana Students:- A huge rise in the refusal rate of Canada study permits by the Canadian government. Past few weeks been very disappointing for lakhs of students from Punjab and Haryana.
The visa refusal rate has been on the rise since the COVID-19 restrictions and air travel ban were lifted by Canada in 2021, refusal ratio of study permits has risen to 60% over the past few weeks. Visas of even those students who have secured IELTS scores of 6.5 to 7 bands, a good academic record and financial background are also getting refused. IM
These high refusals has many reasons, like fraud documentation by students and their agents in some cases, licensing issues with certain private colleges in Canada and also rising cases of gang wars involving Punjabi and Haryanvi men in Canada. Even the consultants from Punjab, Haryana and Canada are feared that the refusal rate of study visa permits might go up in the coming weeks.
As per CBC News report around two million temporary resident and permanent resident (PR) applications pending in Canada, nearly a million came from only India. Moreover at present, Canada has a backlog of around 2.4 million immigration applications as of June 29. This data was received from Canada’s Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) department.
