Bad News For Punjab And Haryana Students

Bad News, A Australian university has suspended the recruitment of undergraduate international students from Punjab and Haryana in India.

Edith Cowan University has suspended students from Punjab and Haryana region. Edith Cowan University said the reason for the suspension was an increase in the number of visa refusals from these regions.

ECU said, we want to take the necessary precautions to protect the interests of genuine international students.

ECU has made some important changes to filter the genuine students like a 300 words of statement of purpose for all courses to ensure students can show they have genuine intentions to study and to comply with immigration requirements, There will be increasing financial checks for all students specially from India and will be verifying the authenticity of their financial to ensure that they have the enough funds to support their studies, No more acceptance of cash salaries as acceptable sources of funds and experience. 

Furthermore, a video interviews will be introduced as part of the application process to ensure the genuinity of the student.
