Home:– The term super visa is used to refer to the parent and grandparent of either a citizen of Canada or a Canadian permanent resident. Only parents or grand parents of citizen or permanent resident of Canada can avail this visa category.
The visa is a multiple entry visa and upto valid for a period up to 10 years. The key difference between super visa and normal visa is that in super visa an individual can stay for up to two years each entry in Canada, while other visa allowed to stay upto six months only.
With super visa the parent and grandparent of either a citizen of Canada or a permanent resident of Canada can visit their family in Canada for up to two years without the need to renew their status.
Latest Update:- Under the latest changes by the Canadian Immigration Minister, parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada can now stay for up to five years per entry, Earlier they could stay for a period of two years per entry.
